While the street vendors and performers won’t be out in abundance the way they were in July, the December Walkabout Tremont on Friday December 11 will still be festive, with restaurants and bars offering specials, and its boutiques and galleries offering a variety of unique items item for holiday shopping.
Stop in St. Theodosius Russian Orthodox Church Parish Hall for its “Cookie Walk” where you can pick up holiday cookies for $10 a pound (cash or check only) on Friday December 10 @ 5-8pm and Saturday December 11 @ 11am-1pm. Look for the domes at the west end of Professor Avenue; there’s parking behind the church so you don’t have to hunt all over if cookie-finding is your main mission.
818 Gallery on Jefferson near Professor will be holding a holiday art sale Friday December 11 @ 5-9pm during Walkabout, as well as Saturday December 11 @ 3-7pm. They’ll be offering handcrafted work from about a dozen local artists, as well as holiday cookies.
There’ll likely be entertainment in some of the area establishments — maybe even a harder entertainer or two still on the street. Go here for updates.
