Convergence-Continuum Show Looks at Race, Gender & the Art Scene

Fri 10/15-Sat 10/30

Tremont’s little convergence-continuum theater continues its tradition of presenting offbeat thought-provoking plays with White by James Ijames.

It tells the story of artist Gus and actress Vanessa, when Gus, who wants to be part of a major museum exhibition for artists of color, hires Vanessa to play the role of an outspoken political artist who will appeal to the museum’s curatorial team to pretend to be the creator of his work. The play looks at race, gender and sexuality influence the art scene and who gets to be “chosen.”

Performances takes place Thursday-Saturday @ 8pm, Friday October 15 through Saturday October 30 at the Liminis in Tremont. Go here for tickets.
