Baldwin Wallace Presents a New Version of the Frankenstein Story

Wed 10/27-Sat 10/30 @ 7:30PM

Sun 10/31 @ 2PM

The 1818 novel, Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, was published by Mary Shelley (wife of the poet Percy Shelley) when she was just 20. But the Frankenstein story, about the scientist who creates a creature in his laboratory who takes on a life of its own, has fascinated generations of writers, filmmakers and artists.

The latest is Baldwin Wallace University assistant professor of dance Sara Whale who has written and directed her own version, to be presented at the University’s Kleist Center for Art & Drama’s Black Box Theatre this week.

“This adaptation of Frankenstein uses text and movement to explore Mary Shelley’s classic tale, and her mindset as she created it,” we’re told.

It will have five performances; masks are required. Tickets are free, but you must reserve one in advance. Go here.
