Last year, the annual Ingenuity Fest, an event that focuses on interactive creativity of all kinds, was canceled for the first time since its founding in 2004.

This year, a festival known for metamorphosis and location changes once again took on a different look as it adjusted to the pandemic, moving from its Ingenuity Labs space at the Hamilton Collaborative to the east-side Gordon Park lakefront for Ingenuity at the Lake. At the main location on the lawn of the Gordon Boat Launch, tents were pitched for organizations and activities, games were set up and a stage hosted musical entertainment. An especially popular activity was blowing giant bubbles: kids could blow them themselves while other kids ran around bursting them.

Visitors could then cross the bridge over the Shoreway to Gordon Park where many large wooden walls were set up for mural painting and message writing. Despite the steady prediction of rain, the sun shone on Ingenuity, and kids, adults and dogs all seemed to be having a great time.
