Fri 8/27 @ 5-9PM
If you haven’t visited Coventry Village in Cleveland Heights lately, now is the time to go — when the street hosts its monthly “Final Friday.”
You’ll find some changes — beloved import store City Buddha has closed, Soba Noodles has opened, but Tommy’s is still serving its delicious milkshakes. But the street will be bustling with activity, including an all-night happy hour at participating bars, merchant discounts, live entertainment and sidewalk art vendors outside at Pekar Plaza.
From 5-8pm, there’s a pop-up dance party with Club Neilism outside the Exchange/Key Bank; at 6:30pm Andrea Doe will be doing performance poetry in the Pekar Park Courtyard. At 7pm stop by the Coventry Peace Arch to meet author Raechel Anne Jolie who’ll be reading from her memoir Rust Belt Femme and signing books, courtesy of Mac’s Backs.
Finally at 8:30 pm, there’ll be a free outdoor screening of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off at the park.
