Lake Erie Ink Celebrates Ten Years with a Virtual Benefit “Spilling Ink”

Sat 5/8 @ 1-3PM & 7-9PM

For ten years, Cleveland Heights-based Lake Erie Ink has been hosting classes, workshops, open mics and other events to encourage youth — and sometimes adults as well — to explore writing, storytelling and design.

Their Spilling Ink fundraiser will honor that decade of creativity, alas, only virtually, featuring hosts playwright/actor Amy Schwabauer and musician/performance poet Ray McNeice.

The benefit will feature several elements. From 7-8pm there’ll be a multimedia presentation about Lake Erie Erie include, followed by a storytelling hour from 8:15-9pm. Tickets for the evening event are $25, and you get one raffle ticket as well. For $125 you also get to participate in afternoon poetry and comic journalizing workshops, and get two more raffle tickets. For a$500 donation, you get all that for you and four friends, along with a customized personal poem and a private Zoom room with a LEI guest host from 6:30-7pm.

Go to lakeerieink.org/spill-ink to learn more and buy tickets.
