WJCU/48 Hour Virtual Music Fest Join to Raise Money for the Hunger Network

Fri 12/18 @ 8:45PM-Sun 12/20 @ 8:45PM

John Carroll University’s radio station WJCU 88.7 FM and the 48 Hour Virtual Music Fest, a monthly event founded by local musician Meganne Stepka early in the pandemic, are joining together for an event called Virtual Blizzard Bash: 48 Hours to Fight Hunger.

During the event, 48 artists of ALL types, not just musicians, will share their talents live, including visual artists, poets and of course, musicians as well: including Stepka and her band the Magnetosphere, Molly Andrews-Hinders, Ray Flanagan Jenna Fournier, Angelle Sheridan, Noon and many, many, MANY more.

It will be followed on Monday December 21 @ 8-10pm by NEORocks! annual holiday radio with recorded holiday songs by artists who participated in the virtual live stream.

The event is being held to solicit donation for the Hunger Network, one of the area’s largest emergency food distributors at a time when food insecurity has skyrocketed. They hope to raise $4,800 in 48 hours. Viewing is free; there will be links to help you donate. Go here to listen.
