Playwrights Local was founded to offer an outlet and feedback for new works in development, mostly by northeast Ohio playwrights, as its name suggests. So it presents work in all stages of development.
In the next several weeks, it’s offering a look at a number of new works in readings, via Zoom. It kicks off with Rachel Zake’s Touch, directed by Greg Vovos. A cast of ten will perform the one-act play, a series of vignettes which follos the experiences of nine people from the onset of COVID-19 through the initial reopening of their city.
