Beatles Fan Talks About His Book on the Band’s Final Year

Wed 8/19 @ 7PM

Interest in the Beatles never seems to wane. Although the Beatlemanics of 1964 are getting up in years, younger generations keep rediscovering their music and their charismatic appeal. So there have been hundreds (if not thousands!) of books written about their career and lives, with no stone left unturned.

But still, writers give it another go. Scottish ournalist Ken McNab has written a book called And In the End: The Last Days of the Beatles, which just focuses on the events of 1969 when the band was coming apart internally and at the same time creating the beloved album Abbey Road. It’s his second book on the band. He previously published The Beatles in Scotland in 2008, exploring the band’s connections to the country.

He’ll be speaking via Zoom in a program sponsored by the Hudson Library and Historical Society. Learned Owl Book Shop has the book available for purchase. The program is free but registration is required. Go here.
