The Music Settlement is offering a look back at the days when we could gather together and share music live in person — days that will come again, even if it seems a ways off.
Its #ThrowbackThursday Concerts feature past performances by its students and faculty. This week, for instance, it will show highlight from its 2010 Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Concert, with students, faculty and special guest Obie Shelton, a gospel musician whose day job is working for the Cleveland Municipal Clerk of Courts. Bookmark these future #ThrowbackThursday shows: On May 21, they’ll feature highlights from past summer camps, about as close as anyone is likely to get to a summer camp this year, and on June 4, they’ll carry us back to colder weather and the innocent pre-pandemic days of Holiday CircleFest 2019, as we quarantine and social distance so we can look forward — fingers crossed — to a Holiday CircleFest 2020.
