In the next week, the Cleveland Public Library will slowly start resuming limited service to the public. It will begin answering phones at the Ohio Library for the Blind and Physically Disabled (OLBPD) and resume mail circulation for OLBPD on Wednesday May 27. On Monday, June 1, all library branches will be taking calls about holds, reference questions and general library information Monday-Thursday10am-6pm and Friday 2-6pm.

Meanwhile, CPL’s photograph collection is available online 24/7 to explore its 1.3 million photos, which cover all aspects of Cleveland life, culture and history from the mid 1800s through the 1990s. Whether you’re a historian or researcher, or just a curious citizen, you can learn more about the look and feel of Cleveland’s past here.

In addition, its photo collection includes nearly 200 new images taken for the exhibit Cleveland 20/20: A Photographic Exploration of Cleveland, which opened at the library’s main branch early this year. Created in conjunction with the Cleveland Print room, it sent 25 photographers out to capture the look and feel of Cleveland today.

To supplement these excellent profiles, perhaps you’d like to publicize two other Cleveland History resources: Cleveland State University’s “Cleveland Historical” (https://clevelandhistorical.org) and CWRU’s Encyclopedia of Cleveland History (https://case.edu/ech/). Thanks for all your good work.
