BW Music Theatre Students Pay Tribute at Nighttown to Alum Who Passed Away

Mon 10/28 @ 7PM

Once again, the talented kids from Baldwin Wallace University’s national celebrated music theatre program return to Nighttown for the third annual Kyle Jean-Baptiste benefit. Jean-Baptiste graduated from the program in 2015 and immediately headed to NYC (as so many of its graduates do) to join the cast of the Broadway production of Les Miserables for a couple of months. He was set to move onto the Broadway production of The Color Purple when he accidentally fell from a New York fire escape and died at the age of 21.

The cast of Great Lake’s Theater’s current production of The Music Man, which includes BW students and alumni, will share their “Broadway Bucket List,” performing their dream roles and numbers from classic musicals in his memory, and to raise money for a scholarship that was established in his name. You can be sure you’ll be seeing some future stars who will have the careers Jean-Baptiste never really got to.

Admission is $10.
