Berea Animal Rescue Raises Money with its Mutt Dash and Howl-O-Ween Party

Sat 10/12 @ 8AM

Berea Animal Rescue Friends aka Berea ARF recently broke ground on a new shelter, which will enable this no-time-limit organization to help even more animals in need — and it placed more than 1,000 animals last year!

Of course, that means raising more money. One of the ways they’re doing that is by combining two of their popular fundraising events, the Mutt Dash and the Howl-O-Ween Party, taking place at the Barea Fairgrounds.

The Mutt Dash is a 5K run, with a shorter one-mile Fun Walk for people and their dogs who like a more leisurely pace. Registration starts at 8pm; rae/walk steps off at 9:30.

The Howl-O-Ween afterparty runs from 10am-1pm. It features a race awards ceremony, a pet costume runway parade and contest, other such dog contests as musical hoops and bobbing for weenies, more than 30 vendors, pet-related information, face painting, a balloon artist, photos with your pet, food, music and raffles. It’s free and open to the public, whether they participated in the race or not, even if their cat said “You go without me.”

Race registration information is available at bereaanimalrescue.com/monster-mutt-dash/.
