Currently, 78th Street Studios’2nd floor gallery is hosting a show of work by artists who have taught at Art House in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood in the last 20 years. It’s quite a stellar array of some of the best-known and most exhibited artists in the area too.
Two of those artists — ceramicist Angelica Pozo and mixed-media sculptor Grace Summanen — will be at the gallery for an artist talk, moderated by Christopher L. Richards of ARTneo, who curated the show. There they’ll discuss their art practices, how making art and teaching art fit together, and the value of teaching art.
It’s free and open to all. There’ll be light refreshments too.
