Social Justice Fashion Show Examines Redlining

Sat 7/27 @ 7PM

More Than Just a Zip Code is a solidarity fashion show exhibiting on Sat 7/27 at North Presbyterian Church in Cleveland.

In its fourth year, this event focuses on the recurring artistic theme of Undesigning the Redline, an ongoing exhibit moving throughout Cleveland. Models will show upcycled outfits and share their visions for equitable housing. Narration of the fashion show will include readings from The Color Of Law by Richard Rothstein, which examines the strategic way the government maintained segregationist law.

Cleveland Nonviolence Network, organizers of the show, says that although zip codes provide information about what challenges people might face, this event is about transforming those narratives, turning pain into power, and creating solidarity.

The event will begin at 7pm and is free and open to the public.
