Dr. Ken Schneck is a professor at Baldwin Wallace University. He’s also an author, an LGBTQ activist, a comedian, host of the podcast/syndicated radio show This Show Is So Gay — and one seriously entertaining guy, as those who have seen him host events such as the Ohio Burlesque Festival know.
Last year he published a book called LGBT Cleveland, which detailed the trials and triumphs of the city’s LGBT scene over the decades, its key events, organizations and players. He’s currently working on a similar book about Columbus.
So you can count on his talk at the Westlake Porter Library titled “Cleveland is SO Gay: An Image History of LGBTQ Activism,” being seriously informed, enlightening — and amusing. It will be accompanied by images taking from his book. It’s free. Register here.
