Have you ever watched the crews rowing the dragon boats down the Cuyahoga River and thought, “That looks like fun — and good exercise as well. Maybe I should try it.”
If so, get yourself over to Sainatos/Rivergate on Columbus Road in the Flats (1852 Columbus Road) for the Cleveland Dragon Boat Association’s Season Kickoff Social. There you’ll meet experienced enthusiasts as well as newcomers like yourself and bond over dinner, while you learn what dragon boating is all about and what it’s like to compete in the annual Dragon Boat Festival, this year on Sat 9/7. That means you have plenty of time to practice and get ready. You’ll learn how to join a team, or form your own. Bring a friend!
