Local Acoustic Musicians Sing for Social Justice at Cleveland Heights Church

Sun 1/13 @ 3-5PM

Cleveland acoustic music nonprofit Folknet is presenting a concert with a theme and a cause that animates most folksingers with “Unified Voice: Songs for Social Justice.” You won’t find too many folksingers advocating to build that wall!

The concert, taking place at Forest Hill Church in Cleveland Heights, will be hosted by Scott Wachter, with performers to include Charlie Mosbrook, Christopher Gillespie, Ashley Fulton, Tamar Gray, Michael McDonald, Afi Scruggs, Luke Case, Warren Bendler and the Forest Hill Chancel Choir.

The concert is free, but it’s also a fundraiser for NE grassroots Latino organization, so donations will definitely be encouraged! Social justice is a cause that’s also near and dear to Forest Hill Church: it has been a sanctuary church for an undocumented Mexican woman threatened with deportation for no good reason.
