The theme of this month’s Cleveland Museum of Art MIX evening is “Modern” and it revolves around its new exhibit Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern. Attendees are invited to dress in O’Keeffe-style clothes (mostly black, simply cut with a Japanese influence), drink cocktails inspired by her work, dance to DJ music and see a display of upcycled garments by Cleveland-based fashion designer Valerie Mayen of the Yellowcake Shop and Margaret Burton, a label that reworks old clothes into new.
Admission to the exhibit is extra, but discounted to $7 (free for members). Tickets are limited for that evening so discount vouchers will be issues for a later date.
MIX admission is $10 in advance, $15 at the door, free for members.
