LGBTQ Groups Hold “Come OUT to Vote” Event at CSU

Sat 10/27 @10AM

When politicians start attacking entire groups of people, those people can become energized to strike back at the ballot box. Such is the case with the LGBTQ community and their allies: threatening to make transgender people non-persons is going to increase turnout, Mr. Trump.

But this active community is leaving nothing to chance. A consortium of local LGBTQ groups are hosting Come OUT to Vote, taking place at the Cleveland State Rec Center (2420 Chester).

Events include a dodgeball competition from 10am-12pm (preregister here) https://stonewallcleveland.leagueapps.com/events/851761-come-out-to-vote—dodgeball

Every college student’s dream come true free pizza, at 12:30. A costume contest at 1pm, a drag show at 1:30, and at 2pm a featured speaker. After that, there will be a march to the board of elections just up the block to vote early.

There’ll be information tables all day hosted by the sponsoring groups so visitors can learn more about what they do and what they offer.
