Ukrainian Culture Is on Parade at St. Josaphat in Parma, Plus Face Painting, Hayrides & Petting Zoo

Sat 8/25 @ noon-11PM

Sun 8/26 @ noon-8PM

The two-day Ukrainian Festival at the stunning gold-domed St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church in Parma’s Ukrainian Village overflows with fun for all ages and a lot of activities you don’t find at most such festivals.

It’s exceptionally kid-friendly, with games, balloon twisting, face painting, hayrides and a petting zoo. Mom and dad can refresh themselves in the beer garden, while grandma and grandpa can find a seat and enjoy ethnic groups such as the Zorya Ukrainian Female Vocal Ensemble and the Kashtan Ukrainian Dance Ensemble. There’ll be music to get everyone dancing by Harmonia, Kulkar and ZAPS. And of course, the highlight of every ethnic church festival is the food, lovingly prepared by the ladies of the church.

The whole thing kicks off Saturday with a parade at 11am. Admission and parking are free.
