New Play at convergence-continuum Looks at HIV Status Issues

Fri 7/6-Sat 7/28

While many of the area’s “serious” theaters are dark for the summer, leaving theatergoers to choose between outdoor Shakespeare and oft-produced musical froth, Tremont’s convergence-continuum is still offering its usual edgy work/

And All the Dead Lie Down, a workshop production of a new play by young Minnesota playwright Harrison David Rivers, focuses on a gay couple from different backgrounds, one of whom is HIV+ and the other isn’t, and the various family and personal issues they’re dealing with.

It opens this Fri 7/6 and runs Thursdays-Saturdays @ 8 pm through Sat 7/28 at the Liminis Theater. General admission is $20 ($15 on Thursdays), $15 for seniors ($12 on Thursdays), $10 for students $8 on Thursdays). Thursday performances will include post-show panel discussions, free HIV testing and safe sex information.
