The Musical Theater Project Takes a Look at Recent Musicals in “For Good” at Cain Park

Wed 6/20 @ 7PM

For Cain Park’s cabaret series, the Music Theater Project presents the latest version of its popular program For Good: the New Generation of Musicals, Vol. 3.

While TMTP is known for its programs on the Golden Age of the Broadway musical, it’s also been taking a look at the musicals produced since 2000, which have brought new, younger audiences to the stage musical. They include shows such as Book of Mormon, Wicked and Hamilton, all of which have been huge hits with all ages of theatergoers.

Like most TMTP programs, this one is a multi-media production that looks at these musicals, their connection to the past and what they portend for the future. It was and written is co-hosted by TMTP associate artistic director Nancy Maier and performer Sheri Gross and features singers Bridie Carroll and Eric Fancher.

It takes place in the intimate Alma Theater. Tickets are $28 in advance, $31 at the door.
