The Alex Theatre at the Metropolitan at the 9 is bringing a diverse group of entertainers to its intimate stage including films, music, mentalists, drag queens and burlesque.
This week its burlesque show Burlesco returns with some “boylesque,” in the form of Mercury Stardust, who calls himself “The Ambassador of Cheese and Tease.” He’s performed in 22 states and more than 100 cities in the 12 years he’s been an entertainer.
The evening also features members of Cleveland’s longest-running burlesque troupe, Le Femme Mystique, known for its performer diversity in race, ethnicity, body type, and performance styles, and graduates of the Cleveland Burlesque Academy, who will create an evening “modeled after the golden age of burlesque with a modern twist.” Performers include Scarlett Chaton, Dotty Comma, Kimmy Katarja, Miss Holly Grail, Cleveland’s Burlesque Queen Bella Sin and more.
Tickets can be purchased through the Alex Theater for $20 in advance. They’re $25 at the door. Preferred seating and VIP are also available.
