Cleveland artist/designer/performance artist Robin VanLear has certainly gone beyond where most creative people have gone. She’s best known locally for conceptualizing and bringing into being a host of now-iconic events with the Cleveland Museum of Art: the Chalk Festival, the Winter Lights Lantern Festival and especially the legendary and hugely popular Parade the Circle. And those are just a few of her many imaginative projects; she’s collaborated with a host of other arts organizations including  theaters, dance ensembles and music groups. The giant puppets she designed have popped up in places like Tri-C JazzFest and the Night Markets in AsiaTown.

So she’s the ideal person to address this month’s theme for the international network of Creative Mornings: “Beyond.” And Creative Mornings Cleveland is going “beyond” its usual boundaries this month too. While it moves around, taking place at a different location each month, this time for the first time it will be outdoors at the Waterloo Sculpture Garden at the east end of the Waterloo Road strip.

Creative Mornings are free, and include coffee. Register to attend here.
