Cleveland’s VidMag Television Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary with a Concert

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Cleveland-based VidMag TV show, an evening of music will take place at Negative Space Gallery in Asian Town Center.  VidMag premiered on Cablevision Public Access on April 26th, 1986 and by the time it ended on television it became the longest-running program of its kind in Cleveland. It featured interviews with. artists such as Hawkwind, Pigface, the Church, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, Saint, Igor Cavalera of Sepultura, David Thomas and Jim Jones of Pere Ubu and many more.

This event will feature interview clips with Michael Stanley, Joey Ramone, Stiv Bator and Ray Manzarek. Denny Carleton (The Choir, Pagans) and Rodney Psyka (Michael Stanley Band) will do a set featuring MSB music. Dave Ziggy Dietke (C-Level) will do a set of Ramones songs. And MAJR will do sets of Stiv songs from The Dead Boys to Lords of the New Church and Doors songs.
