George Frideric Handel’s opera Alcina, written in 1735, is another of those magic island stories, filled with sorceresses, spells, disguises and people falling in love in all directions, with both the right and wrong person and people who aren’t who the smitten one thinks they are.
Oberlin Opera Theatre will present four performances of the work at the campus’ Hall Auditorium, accompanied by the Oberlin Chamber Orchestra. Tickets are $10.
