French romantic composer Ernest Chausson isn’t all that well known. He started late, died young and wasn’t very prolific. His concerto in D for violin, piano and string quartet, composed between 1889 and 1891, isn’t heard all that often. But Clevelanders will have the opportunity to hear it performed as part of Trinity Cathedral’s weekly Brownbag concert series.
Violinist Annie Fullard of the Cleveland Institute of Music-based Cavani Quartet and pianist Elizabeth DeMio, who recently moved on from being associate music director at Trinity to a job in Charlotte, North Carolina, will perform the solo parts joined by members of the Trinity Chamber Orchestra.
All the Brownbag concerts are free. You can bring a lunch to eat as you listen or buy one there for $5.
