Although the original Nuevo in Akron closed in early 2019, its Cleveland location continues strong, providing a modern twist on traditional Mexican food. It provides adds contemporary ingredients and techniques to time-honored ones and serves its food in a casual, social atmosphere with a tequila bar featuring artisanal tequilas, along with a large menu of cocktails (including handcrafted margaritas) beer and wines, to wash it down.
Nuevo is located in a brand new building created from the ground up in the downtown harbor neighborhood on the lakefront, opened summer 2016 with patios upstairs and downstairs for guests to enjoy the skyline and the lake. Like the now-shuttered Akron location, it offers quality food and an extensive drink menu to create a fun gathering space for all.
