Lazizi brings the taste and scent of the Mediterranean to downtown Kent, with a menu that leans heavily on middle eastern specialties that northeast Ohioans have come to know and love, including dawali, kibbie, tabouli, shish tawook. But it doesn’t stop there: it travels around the Mediterranean to scoop up Italian specialties like chicken alfredo and eggplant parmesan and travels to North Africa for Moroccan bastilla — a chicken and egg-stuffed pastry topped with fried almonds.
Sandwiches and salads are on the lunch menu, and the dinner menu includes steaks. There’s also a full bar. The atmosphere is relaxing and luxurious but the prices aren’t prohibitive.
