Let’s Get Free: Banned Writings of Black Liberationists

Wed 9/25 @ 7pm

Celebrate censored African American authors. Join The American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio and Karamu House for an emotional and revolutionary reading of some of the most moving material ever written. This event — Let’s Get Free: Banned Writings of Black Liberationists — is an open reading of past books, written by African American authors, that were censored by the government for their brutal honesty.

Expose the racial injustice. Held at the Karamu House on E 89th St., this event celebrates the right and liberty to read books that are still being questioned not only in schools, but also in bookstores and libraries across the country. Read what you want, say what you want, and have your voice be heard at this open to the public, free event and take a stand against unjust censorship.
