Summit Cycling Center wants to be Akron’s ultimate bicycling resource. Center manager Angelo Coletta told reporters at the Akron Beacon Journal that his bike co-operative intends to offer “used bikes, bike repair stations, repair instruction, bike parts, classes and workshops, bicycle rides, members earning bikes by refurbishing donated bikes and even a bicycle messenger service.” Also, the Ctr could offer bike lectures, film fests and concerts, a museum dedicated to local bike heroes and even a chapel devoted to Madonna de Ghisallo, the Patroness of Cyclists.
So far the center is much like Cle’s own Ohio City Bicycle Co-Op.
