Fri 2/19 @ 5-8PM
Cleveland artist Dale Goode, who’s 72, has been making art for a long time, although he hasn’t always had as prominent a presence in the art scene as now (partly because it wasn’t always as vibrant and inclusive as it is now), although his work has been part of many shows. But his name has been out a lot more recently, and a new show at 78th Street studios’ spacious second floor Suite 215, put together by HEDGE Gallery, should give even more people a chance to see his work.
The show, called forthrightly Paintings and Prints, will feature his recent abstract and figurative work, along with older paintings on canvas using a variety of media including enamel, acrylics, oils, latex and found materials. The two-dimensional work in this show is also influenced by the eclectic artist’s work in large-sale sculptures.
The show opens during Third Friday, February 19 @ 5-8pm. The gallery is also open Wednesday-Thursday 11:00am-6:00pm, Friday 11:00am-5:00pm and Saturday 12:00pm-4:00pm.
