Manifesto
And the music doesn’t stop there. Greg Cielec previews the next couple months at our favorite music venues along the North Coast. Filmmaker Tyler Davidson is having a big year, and Alex Sukhoy is riding shotgun and writing it all down. Cle trumpeter Josh Rzepka is making noise on the national charts, CIM Opera does Hansel & Gretel & MOCA does fashion. And you know how Cool Cleveland is giving away cash prizes for downloading our mobile app for iPhone & Android and sharing our cool content with your friends? Well, our most recent winner asked that we anonymously donate their winnings to the Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center, which is exactly what we did. So write your own manifesto. We’ll be right there to back you up. –Thomas Mulready

Three candidates are in the race for the new 9th Congressional District: Representative Marcy Kaptur, Representative Dennis Kucinich, and Graham Veysey. Because the new district contains heavily Democratic voters, the primary on March 6 will most likely determine who is elected in November. All three have been invited to answer a few questions from Cool Cleveland:
Question A: What procedures and techniques will you put in place to ensure that you are able to fully & fairly represent the two vastly disparate urban regions: Toledo & Cleveland?
Question B: Name the top three issues that affect Toledo specifically, and the top three issues that affect Cleveland specifically, and why.

Winner Donates Anonymously
Cool Cleveland mobile app contest winner donates to Domestic Violence Center
Cool Cleveland has been making random cash awards to people who download and use our mobile app for iPhone and Android. In December 2011, we announced that Nola Lyons won our first $100 award.
Now our most recent winner tells us they would prefer to remain anonymous and instead donate their $100 winnings to the Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center. So we were pleased to send them our winner’s check, and it will be put to good use. In fact, February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, so the $100 will go towards a good cause. Contact them to make your own donation or for more information here.
Many thanks to our anonymous winner for downloading the Cool Cleveland mobile app, and we thank them for the great idea to donate their award.
You could win $100, $250 or even $500 in our Cool Cleveland mobile app contest. Simply download the app for your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad here, or for your Android smartphone or table here. Use your app to send cool events, news and video to your friends via Facebook, Twitter or email. You could be our next winner!
Does this make any sense? Or do we have the same pay-to-play game today that we’re seeing exposed in the Akron trial. You figure it…
