Tri-C JazzFest Puts Out a Call for Local Musicians to Perform on the Outdoor Stage at Playhouse Square June 28 & June 29

Through Mon 3/25

One of the many highlights of recent editions of the Tri-C JazzFest, since it moved to Playhouse Square, has been the free outdoors stage featuring a diverse lineup of local musicians, not just jazz, but blues, reggae, funk, R&B, gospel and hybrid genres. There’s room for sitting and listening and room for dancing as well, since many of the bands who play are the kind that make you want to get up and move.

Applications are now open for area bands to be part of the 40th annual festival. Sixteen acts will be picked by a panel of music industry judges to play between 3pm and midnight on Fri 6/28 and Sat 6/29. Applications will be accepted at www.tri-c.edu/jazzfestcall through March 25.
