Thu 10/9 @ 7:30PM
Two outstanding area musicians come together at the Irishtown Bend Taproom behind Market Garden Brewery for an evening of eclectic, world-travelling folk music.
Caroline King plays accordion and piano, while Paul Kovac, well known in the area for his many decades of playing bluegrass, will bring his acoustic guitar, banjo and mandolin, as the twosome shares vocals and explores music from South America, Western Europe and Scandanavia, as well as the good ol’ U.S. of A. They tell us that “Their common interest in melodies has them searching a world of music for tunes & songs that appeal to them & that fit their unique instrumentation. They call it a continental rendezvous.” They’ll be sharing some of their discoveries.
Singer/songwriters Josee McGee and Gordon Oliver will open the show.
The Taproom has a bar with beers straight from their brewery and wine. You can have dinner before or after the show at Market Garden Brewery. (Reservations at marketgardenbrewery.com.)
