You don’t really need an excuse to drive out to Huron and drop in on The Chef’s Garden Farmer’s Market, which is always brimming with locally grown seasonal produce and products (bakery, syrups, kitchen supplies and more) created by local producers.
But this Saturday, when it hosts its summer festival, there’s even more incentive to take this beautiful drive out into the country and drop in. There will be food trucks onsite, along with local artisan vendors offering their handmade items, and live music. Tell the kids there’s face painting and they won’t whine in the car! And you can stock up on fresh vegetables grown locally which are starting to proliferate at this time of year.
