Reggae Fest Returns for Two Days of Irie Vibes on Lake Erie

Sat 5/23-Sun 5/24

The Cleveland Reggae Fest is back, bringing another two days of irie vibes to downtown Voinovich Park. Those two days are packed with ten music acts, both local and national, familiar and new to area audiences.

Jamaican roots reggae singer Luciano, known for his positive vibes, headlines day one, which also features Jamaican-born, Massachusetts-based vocalist Mighty Mystic; Kenyatta Hill, son of legendary Culture vocalist Joseph Hill; St. Louis-based Yard Squad, which combines roots and dancehall reggae styles; and Cleveland reggae/rock band Lake Irie.

On day two, hip-hop influenced reggae artist from Kingston, Jamica, Kabaka Pyramid, will hold down the top slot, with Cleveland’s biggest name in reggae, Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band in the penultimate spot. Michigan-based pan-Caribbean ensemble Roots Vibrations, Cleveland reggae woman Ms Bbc and Michigan psychedelic jam reggae band HWT round out Sunday.

Both days include a different lineup of food trucks each day and artisan vendors selling sweet treats, salsas, pastries, candles, jewelry, tie-dye and African-style clothing and accessories, seasonings, shea butter, masks, drums, body oils, T-shirts, leather goods, cannabis-themed accessories, flags, and even spinal screenings — and a lot more.
