WovenSmart Studio + Gallery in Lakewood describes itself as “an intentionally designed environment where creativity, conversation, reflection, and innovation come together.” It offers space for workshops, retreats, community events, talks, private events, and organizational meetings, along with a gallery.
This week it will be opening a show in that gallery called The Space Between, featuring art that explores the tension between various states of mind, such as burnout and renewal, distraction and attention, overwhelm and clarity. It will include work by both established and emerging artists in diverse mediums. The gallery hopes visitors will use the gallery space and the art it contains to slow down and reflect on their own responses to contemporary life.
