Honeyland is a Cleveland-based quartet that says their music is “modern rock ‘n’ roll incorporating strong elements of hard blues rock with drizzles of punk and jazz.” Their sets feature mostly their own material, with a few rearrangements of classic songs. You can check them out this weekend when they debut their new album, Bursting Out in Hives, at the Beachland Tavern.
They’ll be supported on the show by Akron/Cleveland five-piece band Rent for Cheryl that also plays its own music, an eclectic mix of pop, blues, indie rock and jazz, and Cleveland blues-rock band The Brakes who mix their original with covers by artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath and Prince.
