Ubiquitous Cleveland guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Ray Flanagan has performed in so many contexts with so many local musicians that it’s hard to believe he just released his first-ever full-length vinyl album, My Mind Is Burning Up, in April.
He’s already moved on to his next project” a music video for the song “Ashes” off that album, which will be released online Sunday July 5. But he and Mishak Pictures, which produced the video, will be previewing the video at an event Negative Space Gallery on the second floor of AsiaTown Center.
The event will feature a talk with Flanagan, director/producer Shawn Mishak, cinematographer/editor Eric A. Wahl, and Bailey Jade Laszlo who appears in the video, a performance by Laszlo and Flanagan following the talk and a couple of screenings of the video. The event also marks the launch of the production company Mishak Pictures, founded by local musician/visual artist/curator Shawn Mishak to produce affordable videos for local musicians as well as do commercial work. It will also be offering services such as consultations, lighting and set design, talent acquisition, event planning and live music booking.
They’re asking for a $10 donation to help fund the video. Go here for more information.
