For four decades, Art by the Falls, sponsored by the Valley Art Center in Chagrin Falls, has marked the start of the summer outdoor art festival season. But last year, After decades in downtown Chagrin Falls’ Riverside Park, it moved to the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field due to ongoing repair work on the Chagrin Falls bridge. While that moved the event away from downtown Chagrin Falls businesses, it also provided more room for more artists.
Once again, for its 41st year, it’ll be back at the polo field, and hosting even more artists: around 160. They’ll offer work in virtually every medium: painting, photography, prints, ceramics, textiles, sculpture, glass, wood, metal, collage, jewelry and even digital media. There are chances to interact with artists and watch them demonstrate how they create their art, and shop for unique gifts. In addition, there’s food, live music and kids’ activities, and a free trolley to and from downtown Chagrin Falls.
