Over a period of more than four decades, Northeast Ohio-based guitarist/composer Carl Baldassarre has established himself as one of the area’s premiere progressive rock musicians, performing with bands such as Syzygy and Abraxas. Recently he’s been leading an ensemble that performs interpretations of Led Zeppelin tunes, exposing more music fans to his outstanding guitar skills. Then in 2023, he released an album of his own music titled Grand Boulevard, which he’s performed live in several different formats.
He also puts together shows with his Baldasarre Orchestra, with some of the area’s best musicians and vocalists performing arrangements of classic rock tunes from 1965-1975, performed with symphonic finesse. They include tunes from artists such as the Rolling Stones, Queen, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, The Who, Cream and of course Led Zeppelin — and many many more. They bring too much originality to their approach to be considered a “cover band.”
They’ll be playing at the Music Box to kick off your holiday weekend. Get tickets here.
