If you’d like to get your Mother’s Day Sunday going with a little jazzy pop, come down to the Music Box Supper Club. This week its generous brunch will feature musicians from the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra — some of northeast Ohio’s very best players — providing support for the vocals of British-born Clevelander Heen Welch. The show, called “Big Band Serenade” will feature interpretations of mid-20th-century pop and Great American Songbook classics such as “On the Sunny Side of the Street,” “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Fly Me to the Moon” and “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.”
Doors open for brunch at 11am; show starts at noon. And since it’s Mother’s Day you probably shouldn’t delay in making reservations.
