Bike Cleveland Holds Its Bike Light Giveaways As Days Get Shorter

Wed 10/22 @ 6-8PM

Tue 10/28 @ 6-8PM

With darkness coming earlier each day, Bike Cleveland’s Random Acts of Brightness program couldn’t be more welcome — and important. With daylight savings ending next week, if you ride your bike to work, you’ll probably be coming home in darkness.

Bike Cleveland volunteers set up at different locations for each event, and look for riders with unlit bikes, stopping them to install front and back lights — for free — while talking with cyclists about why it’s essential to use lights after dark. Since they started the program in 2012, Bike Cleveland’s volunteers have given away more than 5,000 lights.

Bike Cleveland volunteers will be at Artha Woods Park in the Shaker Buckeye neighborhood on Wednesday October 22 and at Dave’s Market in Midtown on Tuesday October 28.

If you’d like to volunteer, go here for more information.
