Cleveland novelist D.M. Pulley left her engineering job rehabbing old buildings more than a decade ago to focus on her writing. But old buildings still figure prominently in her work as characters that she creates dark backstories for. She published her debut novel The Dead Key, in 2015, and has since dropped three more mystery/thriller-type books that have earned an avid audience of true crime enthusiasts. Her new gothic thriller Stone Mad comes out this week. Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award.
So it’s the perfect time (and season) for her to do one of the Music Box Supper Club’s popular Cleveland Stories programs. In “Stone Mad — A Cleveland Haunted House Story,” Pulley will share some of the historical Cleveland crimes, legends and abandoned structures that inspired the book, including the historic Hannes Tiedemann House, aka Franklin Castle, and the long-gone Everett Mansion of Millionaire’s Row.
Doors open at 5pm for dinner, storytelling starts at 7pm. There’s no admission charge. Make a reservation HERE.
