AAWR Presents Two Shows By Archived Artists and a Group Show of Collage Artists

This week, Artists Archives of the Western Reserve opens three new shows: two are the first shows by Archived Artists and the other is a group show by members of a local artists’ organization.

Wendy Partridge, whose show is called Time and Place, is well known in the local printmaking community for her work in letterpress, pressure printing and gelatin monoprinting techniques as well as the creation of artist books. She’s also active as an educator at both the Morgan Conservatory and Zygote Press. “Her work tends to be made in series and takes inspiration from art history, nature, the urban environment and the short sightedness of humans,” AAWR’s press release says.

PJ Rogers’ Overlapping Moments features work by another printmaker who passed away in 2014 at the age of 89. She took up printmaking later in her artistic career, focusing on processes such as etching and aquatint and later exploring digital printing.

Also, the Ohio Collage Society’s will be showing its 19th Annual Member’s Exhibition from the Ohio Collage Society. The organization, which has 45 members, is open to all so expect to see a variety of approaches to this paper-intensive medium. The shows open with a free public reception on Thursday October 9 and will be on view through December 6, after which AAWR will be closing for the first quartr of 2026 to upgrade their archival storage area.
