The 7th annual Cleveland Comedy Festival is in full swing, running through 11/17-23 at various venues primarily at PlayhouseSquare.
But before they go, they’re going to do something nice for animals who need homes. Two Punchlines for Pets shows will benefit the Cleveland Animal Protective League with local comedians donating their time, so all the money goes to the APL.
“I have a girlfriend who has lots of pets,” said Cleveland Comedy Festival Co-director RodneyBengston. “And many of them are rescue animals, and they are always happy to see me. I’m not sure if Ican say the same thing for my girlfriend.”
Bengston will host the 7:30pm show at Kennedy’s at PlayhouseSquare, which will features Mike Scanlon, Marv Conner, Devin Conner, Josh Johnson, George Dunne and Shane Torres. John Wellington hosts the 9:30pm show with comedians Nancy Remley, Tim Cornett, Dave Arena,Sean Jaundice, Phil Torres and Ryne DiPerna.
Each show is $20 in advance, $22 day of show.
