Yes, there’s an extra Peninsula Flea this month. Normally held on the first Saturday of each month, August offers a second chance dozens of local handmade and vintage vendors spread out around the expansive grounds of Heritage Farms.
The upscale market, which offers handmade, repurposed, collectible and vintage items from regional artists, craftspeople and collectors, happens on the first Saturday of each month. There’s a different mix of around 65 vendors each market, virtually all offering unique items, spread out in several areas: barn, barnyard, field and driveways. And at least 30% are different at each market.
There are also plenty of edible offerings, including food trucks, so you can make a day of it. And from 11am-1pm, blues vocalist/slide guitarist Austin Walkin’ Cane will be offering some tunes to shop by.
Both the event, which takes place rain or shine, and parking are free. Find more info and a list of this week’s vendors at heritagefarms.com/peninsula-flea.
