Maybe the kids don’t care about all your favorite old classic rock bands in the Rock Hall — after all, Mick Jagger could be their great grandfather.
But they’ll surely enjoy the Rock Hall’s Fam Jam event, with free activities on the plaza, including games and giveaways from the Children’s Museum of Cleveland, crafts with the Upcycle Parts Show, giant bubbles blown by Dr. U.R. Awesome, rock & roll-themed face painting, and balloon twisting by the Flower Clown.
From noon-2pm, Yächtly Crüe will perform “yacht rock” songs — basically the ’70s soft rock that real rock & rollers used to make fun of back them. From 2-4pm the Commonwealth, local original indie rockers influenced by classic late ’60s/early ’70s rock, perform.
There are more activities inside on Level 0 including “Meet the Instruments,” a rock and roll coloring station and a chance to design your own album cover. These activities are all free; touring the Rock Hall exhibits is a separate admission.
